A Comissão Pastoral da Terra Nordeste 2 divulga balanço do ano de 2021 para os povos da terra, das águas e das florestas. Confira a íntegra da análise:
Sábado, 08 de janeiro de 2022, foi um dia histórico no Pará. Um dos estados com mais elevados índices de violações aos direitos humanos e de violência contra camponeses realizou a formatura da primeira turma de Direito da Terra, uma graduação especial em direito para os povos do campo e de territórios tradicionais. A turma que teve início em 2016 formou 42 alunos, filhos e filhas de assentados da reforma agrária, além de quilombolas, ribeirinhos, e de comunidades tradicionais de quatro estados (Pará, Maranhão, Tocantins e Mato Grosso). O Curso foi o primeiro desta área de formação oferecido pela Unifesspa – Universidade Federal do Sul e do Sudeste do Pará, instituição que já tem tradição em cursos especiais para educação do campo.
A CPT Pará e a Sociedade Paraense de Defesa dos Direitos Humanos – SDDH, com o apoio de dezenas de organizações e movimentos sociais, vêm a público exigir que mais um massacre no campo não fique impune. No último domingo (09), os corpos de José Gomes, o Zé do Lago, sua esposa Márcia Nunes e sua filha Joane Nunes, foram encontrados na propriedade da família, em São Félix do Xingu (PA). A família já residia no local há mais de 20 anos, desenvolvia trabalhos de preservação da floresta e mantinha um projeto de reprodução de tartarugas. Eram conhecidos e reconhecidos pelo trabalho ambiental que faziam. A terra ocupada por eles está em área de jurisdição do ITERPA e inserida na APA Triunfo do Xingú, uma área de preservação com mais de 1,5 milhões de hectares.
De acordo com Nota Pública divulgada agora: "o município de São Félix do Xingu é conhecido por conflitos fundiários graves resultantes de ações de grilagens de terras públicas, desmatamento ilegal voltado à atividade da pecuária extensiva, invasões de terras indígenas e áreas de preservação, além da instalação de garimpos ilegais. Esses conflitos têm resultado em assassinatos de lideranças, chacinas e trabalho escravo. Conforme dados da CPT, nas últimas quatro décadas, 62 trabalhadores rurais e lideranças foram assassinadas no município em conflitos pela posse da terra. Em nenhum dos casos houve julgamento de algum responsável pelos crimes, portanto, a taxa de impunidade é de 100%. Até o momento, não temos informações se o crime tem motivação agrária, caberá à Polícia do Pará esclarecer as reais motivações da chacina. Apenas no estado do Pará, nas últimas quatro décadas, a CPT já registrou 29 massacres com 152 vítimas. No mesmo período, 75 lideranças foram assassinadas no sul e sudeste do Estado".
Duas representações foram protocoladas com relação ao caso, pela SDDH, cobrando providências. A primeira à Secretaria de Segurança do estado do Pará (SEGUP), ainda na segunda-feira, a segunda foi protocolada na manhã de hoje (13) à Procuradoria Geral do Estado. Confira a Nota Pública na íntegra:
Em nota, CPT-Regional Maranhão denuncia assassinato de quilombola na comunidade Cedro, em Arari-MA e repudia a omissão do governo estadual frente a escalada de violência no campo. O estado registrou o maior número de assassinatos no campo em 2021.
